Send secure payment links via all communication channels
Volt's Pay by Link enables businesses to initiate account-to-account payments via all their communication channels.
When a customer clicks on the pre-generated link or scans a QR code generated from the link, they will be redirected to Volt's hosted checkout page, where they can pay instantly using account-to-account payments.
How to generate payment links
Payment links can be generated in two ways:
- In our merchant portal — Generate links from Fuzebox
- Via our API — use the same
POST /paymentsendpoint with thevalidityPeriodparameter. See Requesting payment for details.
Example use case
You can use your Pay by Link in many different places. The URL provided can be sent via SMS or email, or encoded into a QR code for a shopper to scan on printed documentation. One of the most common use cases is on an invoice, allowing the scan of the QR code via a mobile phone to pay.
Volt invoicing
At Volt we use Pay by Link on our own merchant invoices. This is a sample of how it might look if you receive an invoice from Volt.
